Snow Day Fun

Yesterday it was 65 degrees.  Today 19 degrees with a wind chill of -8.  Coldest I can remember in a long time!

Feels good!
Snow angels!

Sutton had to have his picture in the snow too.
I had Blake take him out for just a second.

Warming Up!

Just in case you were wondering what Sutton was doing during all of this fun...
silly monkey was climbing completely into the coffee table.

Fun!  Fun!  Fun!

More Stock Show

Today was the market part of the stock show.  Blake was sick, so Cordell showed both of their goats.  Patrick came in 3rd in his class.

Perry got 5th in his class.

Gloria came in 3rd.

Cordell did great and learned a lot for his first year!

Breeding Goats Show

Blake and Cordell showed Bella and Bitsy today.  Blake got 3rd place with Bella.  Bitsy was limping due to a hoof problem.  Last night when Lyndell was trimming her feet, she jumped and hurt her foot.  Therefore, she did not do well today.  She came in 7th place, but Cordell did an excellent job of showing her.  Blake also won the senior showmanship belt buckle.

Basketball

Cordell had his first basketball game for the season today.  He did great.  He had 1 steal, and a couple of rebounds.  I forgot my camera, so I will have to add some pictures after the next game.

Last night, Cordell spent the night with Granny.  They were discussing basketball. This is the conversation...

G:  So are you a starter on your basketball team?
C:  What does that mean?
G:  Well, it means that when the game starts, you get to be one of the first 5 on your team to play.
C:  I think I must be a laster.

Love it!

Random

Your children might be rednecks if...

They line up plastic army men and cars to shoot with their b b guns in the back yard.

They hang coke cans on the fence to shoot at and use the trash bag filled with cans to rest their arm on while shooting.

Yesterday, I took the boys to get their flu shots.  I had promised Ayden and Cordell that they could get the nasal ones.
They hate shots!
Ayden especially, since the last time he got 5 immunizations.  So, I called the doctor's office and they were out of the nasal mist.
The Dilemma -  I promised, but they really need flu shots.  Ayden's little chin starts to quiver when I tell them.
The Compromise - If ya'll will just take the ONE shot, we will buy some fireworks and eat at McDonald's.
It worked!
By the time we got to the doctor's office, they were in a competition to see who could be the toughest.
Not one of them cried.  Sutton barely even whimpered.

When you mix black cats and boys, this is what you get...

Headless and legless army men and a blown up little car!

I have no words to describe this picture.
What more can I say...This is Ayden!

Helping me cook fudge...

There will be mud (or chocolate, or kool aid, or ketchup, or you name it... he's been into it).
I spend more time editing photos of this kid, trying to get stuff cleaned off his face.

The gamers!  Sutton always wants to help.

Sutton forgot for a little bit that he "can't" stand up without holding on.  He was so tickled playing with the boys and clapping that he just forgot for a minute.  Silly goose!

Cooking...the easy bake way

Ayden and Lyndell tried out the easy bake oven tonight.

Smores...the easy bake way!
Pretty good!
