Double Play
It's hard to tell from this picture, but Cordell had a big play here. He caught the ball. It is actually in his glove! Then he got the kid that was on first out too. DOUBLE PLAY!! Our little team is a very young team, and we have struggled all year. We managed to beat this team tonight 2-1. Sweet victory!

Squat
We had the end of year celebration for Faithweavers tonight at the city park. Sutton was running around playing and having a good time. I squatted down to get on his level while I took a picture. He looked at me and did the same thing. Like this momma?

Ayden and the eggs
Ayden loves to help me cook. The other day, I was in the kitchen making something. Ayden ran in and begged to help. So, I sent him to the refrigerator to get me some eggs. He is a great egg cracker!
I had bought some different eggs, because Cordell needed a paper carton for a school project. The eggs were brown. Ayden opened up the box, looked at the eggs, and said, "Momma, why did you buy mexican eggs?"

Sutton = 18 Months
Already?
I can't believe it!
Sutton is 18 months old.
18 months = 1 1/2 years
It just can't be.
It feels like just yesterday that we headed to the hospital for the birth of our sweet little Sutton.
But, yes it is true, Sutton is now 18 months old.
At 18 months, Sutton is quite the busy body. He got some new squeaky sandals and he loves to walk, dance, and bounce around as his shoes squeak.
He thinks he is ever bit as big as his older brothers and loves to follow them everywhere. He has even figured out how to play a little t-ball from watching Ayden. He will seriously put the ball on the t and hit it off with the bat (upside down, but it works).
He is an amazing little eater. His favorite is fruit, and I have not found any that he does not like. He can also diminish just about any other food that finds its way to his highchair. The only thing that I can't get him to eat, unless I hide it in other food, is green beans. He loves little cereal snacks. He carries them around in a little cup that I think has become an extention to his hand!
He is quite a little talker. He rattles off stuff all the time. He says mom, daddy, Ayden (always in a yell), Bake (Blake), and Bubba (Cordell is kind of hard to say). He also says Nanny, ball, moon, Ryder (the dog), puppy, kitty, mone (come on), book (He absolutely loves to read! If anyone sits down in the "reading chair," they have to read to him.), boo, ta-da, lo (hello - on the phone), bye, love you (but only if he wants to), hey, ready go, yellow, side (outside), and B (that is the name he gave his pacifier). He loves the word yellow. I don't know why, but he just does. He talks about the yellow pish (fish) and sits on the couch watching the aquarium.
When he gets sleepy, you can pick him up and he will tuck his little arms under his body.
He has sweet little curls in the back of his hair. He is the only one of the boys that has ever had curls, and they are sooooo cute!
He loves little trucks, tractors, and all things with wheels. He makes all those little noises that go with driving them around. I think little boys are just born with those noises!

He is a sweet, fun, loving, little guy, and we are all so lucky to have him!!

Take Me Out To Some Ball Games
When Ayden plays t-ball, it is some serious business!
Playing short stop, going after the ball
Playing pitcher.
Here comes the ball, and he catches it on the bounce.
Charging home for the out...
What a great effort! Unfortunately it was not a force. The runner went back to 3rd base. Next time, he'll get 'em!
Here is the next time. It's your call???
And Ayden slides in at home! He told me before the game to bring my camera. He was going to slide home and get his pants dirty.
Operation - successful!
During the game, Ayden hit the ball. He ran to 1st, and his coach told him to go on to 2nd. As he ran, he hollered at the other 2 kids standing on 2nd base to go. Well, they didn't. So Ayden took care of that by pushing them off the base when he got there. When I asked him about it, he said, "Well, I told them to go and they didn't. They have to learn."
Oh My!

Easter Sunday
This is the best picture that I got Easter Sunday after church. The kids were not exactly in a cooperating mood, and Blake was already gone to another Easter. Oh well, I take what I can get sometimes.

Easter
The boys went again this year to the 3rd Annual McKeehan Easter Egg Hunt. The kids all listen to an Easter story. This year's story taught the significance of the Easter lily. Each child was given a lily bulb to take home and plant. Hope ours survive. My thumb is not very green.
This was Sutton's first egg hunt. He picked up the idea real quick. We showed him what to do with one egg, and he took it from there.
The bigger kids look for the eggs with their number on it.
After the hunt, everyone enjoyed cookies and juice.
Sutton sure enjoyed his!
Sutton had wild hair. It was a little bit windy. It was a perfect day though, not hot or cold. The candy wasn't melting.
Sutton was not taking any chances. When he had to move, he took it all! Where there is a will, there is a way!
And Sutton says that is enough. I am out of here!!

Baseball
Baseball...
Baseball ended tonight for the Comanche Indians. Blake played the last 3 games on varsity. He started out playing 3rd base on JV. When grades came in, a small jv team became too small to play. Blake was moved up to varsity, and due to some injuries became a starting right fielder on varsity. He did an excellent job!
This closes out his sophmore year of sports. He did an excellent job as the starting quick guard on varsity football, where he received an honorable mention all-district award. He played basketball as a starter on the JV team. He won 2nd place in district in the discus on JV. His season best distance was a throw of 114'. He played both JV and then varsity baseball. What a successful year! As the baseball season ended, he said, "now it's time to get ready for football!"
