June Celebrations

June is a busy month.  We all went to JoAnn's house to celebrate.  We had a combination of birthdays (Cordell & Wayland) and Father's Day.  We had meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, fried squash, Dr. Pepper birthday cake, and homemade ice cream

The boys were watching a movie on tv.  Cordell was laying there on the couch.  Sutton had to join him.  He wants to be just like his brothers.  Too cute!

We had to relight the candles, because Cordell blew them out too quick for a picture.  Here he is waiting patiently for the 2nd time!  Ayden is making sure that he doesn't act too quickly.

How Do You Like Your Eggs?

Have I mentioned that it is HOT outside?

Hot enough to cook an egg?

The boys wanted to see.

I forgot to take an after picture,
but yes it was hot enough to cook an egg!

Cooking With Ayden

Ayden loves to help in the kitchen.  The other day, I was fixing something.  Ayden wandered into the kitchen and began his, "Can I help, Can I help," routine.  I told him to get me 2 eggs out of the refrigerator.  He opens up the eggs, looks at them curiously, and says, "Mom, did you buy mexican eggs?"  The eggs I buy are usually white.  These were brown.

Summer Reading

The boys have been spending some quiet time after lunch, this summer, reading.  Sutton likes to join them.  He LOVES books!  Caught him laying on his couch reading this book.  Adorable, even if the book is upside down!

How Do You Use Your Pots and Pans?

How Do You Use Your Pots and Pans?

Sutton likes to drag them out of the cabinet while I cook.  He was sitting inside the pan, holding the handle, and spinning around.  I
grabbed my camera and asked him to take out
B (his pacifier) and smile.
This is what I got!

Lost Tooth Number 2

Just in case you were wondering where the tooth fairy was last night...

Ayden lost his second tooth last night.  All of his front bottom teeth were knocked forward at daycare a couple of years ago.  He had to make an emergency trip to the dentist to have them pushed back into place.  He has lost one tooth since then.  Then last week, Sutton fell into Ayden and hit his mouth.  This tooth loosened up.  It was not quite ready to come out, but it would not tighten back up good either.  So last night, Ayden talked Lyndell into pulling it.  He had to use hemostats to get it, because the string wouldn't quite do it.  Ayden being the tough little booger that he is, was brave enough to let him get it out.  I just love a little toothless smile!!

Sticky and Sweet

Here's to the season of cold treats and sticky fingers!

And sticky arms, elbows, and bellies!

Bugs and Birds Beware

The boys were shooting water at anything that dared to pass by!

I Was Needing Some New Pictures

I was needing some new pictures, so out we went to get some.  After a few bribes...popsicles and swimming later... I managed to get a bit of cooperation.

Ummm, Sutton you are laying the wrong way!
Ayden!!    Please!!

Hide and Squeaks!

This is what you call a game of  Hide and Squeaks!

First of all, meet Squeaks.

Anybody know where Squeaks went???

Ha ha, look for the tail!

Yeah, that's how I would feel if I had
a critter inside a bucket on my head too.

Water, Water, Water!!! We love water!

It's been a really hot summer already, and it is only June.  Yikes!  The boys have made it pretty much a routine to take an afternoon dip in the pool.  Fun!  Fun!  Fun!

Ayden being silly - taking a drink

If his brothers do it, Sutton has to do it too.  So, he takes a drink.

We emptied the pool to clean it out.  The boys had a blast in the water on the driveway then.

Summer "MUD" Fun!

It started out as a dirt pile...

Then they turned on the sprinkler...

Which turned it into a MUD pile!

Jump into the puddle!

Circus Fun

Ayden attended his last day of preschool today at Mrs. Shelley's.  They ended out their year with a circus.  The kids got to choose what they wanted to be.  Lyndell and Ayden came up with the idea of a knife thrower.  It was so very cute, or shall I say scary?

Ayden walked out in front of the crowd, pushed up his sleeves, aimed carefully, and threw knives at the balloons to pop them.  Then he had his lovely assistant to hold a balloon, while blindfolded.  She was nervous!  He tricked her though.  He walked up and popped the balloon with a pencil.  She was so glad to have survived the scary ordeal!  Ha ha!
