Counting Down The Days!

Cordell looks like he is already on vacation, but the boys are all counting down the days until we leave on our actual vacation. The lazy days of summer are whizzing by, but we are enjoying every minute!

Ayden's Words of Wisdom

The other day, Granny and I took the boys to see the movie, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. It was Ayden's first theater movie. He did really good. He only got a little antsy the last 20 minutes or so.

Ayden can say some of the funniest things some times. Anyways, on the way home this is the converstion we had:
Ayden: Mom, Am I so skinny?
Mom: No, Ayden you are not skinny, you are just right.
Ayden: But Mom, Look, I have lots of skin. It is on my hands, arms, legs, feet....... I am skinny.

I love it! We are all skinny!!

Fourth of July Fireworks and Fun!

Hotdogs, ice cream, and brownies were our 4th of July feast. We had bought a few little fireworks earlier in the week, and it had been a long awaited night. They could not wait to enjoy their fireworks, and enjoy they did!! They showed off with their sparklers and poppers. Cordell even helped light a few little tanks and colored smoke bombs. Ayden was a little leary of the sparks this year, but he had a great time anyways.

Ayden got bit by a yellow jacket earlier in the night. We gave him a dose of Benadryl, and he did not make it to the end of the fireworks. He was zonked out in Granny's lap when the last of the smoke and sparks fizzled out!
