Alter Egos

Cordell is a normal second grader and middle brother by day, but Indiana Jones by night.  Ayden is the little brother (at least for a few more days) and a rambunctious 4 year old by day, but Spiderman by night.
What a scary crew!!  Happy Halloween 2009!

Sonogram

Here is a sonogram picture of Sutton.  He is a little bit squished in there, but you can still see a sweet little face.  To the left is his little arm.  The sonogram showed him to be about 7 pounds 9 ounces at this time.  Soon we'll have real pictures of him.

Sutton's Baby Shower

I work with an amazing bunch of people.  My kindergarten partners gave me a beautiful shower, and we got lots of great stuff.  I just love to look at all the adorable baby stuff!

Cordell got to be at the shower.  He was excited to see that Sutton now has some pants.  Apparently he had worried about that.  Most of what I had bought was one piece suits, so I guess he just worried about the lack of actual pants.  When I got home, Ayden was super excited to see all the new baby stuff too.  He carried lots in, ate some cake, pulled out all the tissue paper, and looked at the new stuff.  You can see in this picture that he thoroughly enjoyed the cake (all over his mouth) and the tissue paper.

Another Soccer Saturday

Cordell #3 Team Stihl

Bringing it to the goal!

Ayden #5 The Heat

Ayden playing in the goal, intense on the ball not going in. Soon after I took this picture, he was swinging on the goal and got his cleat hung in the goal - something only Ayden could manage to do. The coach had to go help untangle him from his mess.

Counting Down the Days!

Today is exactly one month until Sutton's due date of November the 15th!! I am getting really ready. I can't wait until he is here!

A Tough Loss

Tonight the JV team played Brady. The final score was 48-18, and unfortunately we were on the losing end. The game was actually a much better game than the score reflects. The boys played hard, but Brady was a tough team.

Son....Sun Confusion

I am not sure where Ayden comes up with some of the things he says. He always keeps me laughing!! Tonight, before bedtime, Ayden and Cordell were laying on the bed talking. This is the conversation that I overheard...

Ayden: Cordell, do I have a wife?
Cordell: No Ayden, you are too little, but momma is daddy's wife, daddy is her husband, and I am the son.
Ayden: Well, if you are the son (or should that be sun??), then I guess I am the planet.

I love these kids! They sure do brighten a day!!!

It's Just Me And You Wormy........

That is what I am overhearing from the play room right now. It rained a lot last night, so this morning when we were leaving the house there were little squiggly earthworms all over the driveway. Of course, nothing would do but we catch a few. Cordell scooped up several on his way to the car. He is recovering from the flu, so I would not let him catch anymore. He is so bummed. This afternoon when we got home with Ayden, Cordell sent him out with instructions to catch as many as he could. We now have a whole cup full of worms. They are befriending and naming each and every one of them right now. A few that I have heard so far are Wormy, Wild One, Killer, and Number Seven. Oh my....My boys and their endless critters!!

JV Football vs. Bangs

For the rest of the year, the freshman and JV teams will be combined into one JV team, and Blake will be #27. They have already played several games together. Between towns that do not have freshman teams and players with failing grades, they have decided to combine into one team. Tonight, they played Bangs and came up with a 20-13 win. Way to go team!!

Soccer Season Begins

Today was the first day of soccer season. Ayden was just barely old enough to play this year, but he is loving it. He was so excited!! His first game was today, and they did great! This is such a fun age to watch!
Cordell was also supposed to have his first game today, but he woke up with a sore throat and fever. I guess it will be next Saturday when he makes his first soccer appearance.
