Vacation 2010

This year, we went to Great Wolf Lodge for a couple of days.  It was a lot of fun.  Granny, Wayland, JoAnn, Thomas, Lyndell, Blake, Cordell, Ayden, Sutton, and I all went and enjoyed the hotel and indoor water park.  A lot of time was spent going down slides, walking across the lily pads, playing water basketball, eating pizza, and just spending family time together.  I did not get as many pictures as I would have liked, because I was wet.
Here are a few memories...

We were in our room discussing going to get supper, when the fire alarm went off.  Of course, we were on the 6th floor.  That meant a long trip down 6 flights of stairs with a baby and a little bit panicy Ayden.  Luckily, it was only a malfunction in the alarm.  We got to see the fire trucks come though, and the boys enjoyed that!

Birthday Supper

We had a birthday supper at Wayland and JoAnn's house for mine and JoAnn's birthdays.  The boys played frisbee horseshoes, played with the dogs, and laughed.  We had a wonderful meal of ribs followed by cupcakes.

When we got to their house, Ayden bolted out of the car so excited.  As I stepped out, I hear giggling and look down.  Ayden is rolling around on the ground with Tye (the dog) on top of him.  The dog is licking him, and Ayden is yelling, "Wayland, Wayland, Get this dog off of me."  They were best of friends all night.

Random Pics of the Boys

Sutton rockin his 4th of July t-shirt.  What?  It doesn't look like a 4th of July shirt?  Well that would be because the tie dye kit I bought at the store was apparently hacked into.  It was supposed to have red, blue, and yellow dye inside.  I brought it home, and you know I procrastinate, so it was July 3rd.  I tied the boys shirts up with rubber bands, put on the gloves, mixed up the bottles of dye, and discovered yellow and 2 bottles of green, no blue or red.  Oh well, Sutton still looks pretty cute in it.  Just not what I had planned!
Ayden wearing his hat from bible school.
He's been exploring the rainforest, and I think he is one of the cutest explorers I've ever seen.

Sutton loves wheels!

Crazy kids with their snow cone smiles.  Ayden even has a snow cone nose.  Don't know how that kid can get so dirty!!

Splash!

The boys have been going to the Methodist Church's bible school this week.  This afternoon, it was almost time to go.  I was getting Sutton ready, and the boys said they were going to go outside until it was time to go.  The last words out of my mouth, before the door shut behind them were, "just don't get dirty!!"  I went back to what I was doing.  I heard the door open.  Then I heard this coming towards me...

Ayden fell in the fish pond.
Cordell was laughing so hard that he could hardly talk.
Never a dull moment!

Advertising

When we got to church today, they had things ready for someone to be baptized.  Ayden, who is very observant, crawled over in my lap and whispered in my ear, "Mom, who are they going to advertise today?

Going on a Frog Hunt

We have gotten quite a bit of rain over the last couple of weeks, so there are lots of little frogs hanging out around our pond.  Boys will be boys, so they have loved catching and playing with the little critters.  They brought this one in to introduce to Sutton.  Unfortunately, they left it in a container on the coffee table.  Now the lid is off, and the frog is missing in action.   I'm just thankful that it was not the jar full of wolf spiders that they caught last week!

Another Fabulous Fourth

C for Cordell

Sutton enjoyed his first 4th.  He played with this little glow bracelet on his foot.  Then he sat quietly and watched every one of the fireworks go off.  He was mesmerized!

Long Sleeve Pants

It has been raining off and on for several days.  The boys decided to go out and play.  They came back in and said it was cold outside.  It was still sprinkling and it was much cooler than the hot, hot days we have been having.

Ayden told Cordell, "Just put on some of these long sleeve pants and it will be okay."

I love the way kids look at things sometimes!

Little Blue Eyed Boy

My handsome little blue eyed man will be turning 8 months old later this week.  He is the happiest little guy!  He is getting so big.  As you can see, he still has no teeth.  He is trying to crawl, but still continues to just scoot backwards.  It won't be long though.  I keep telling the boys...soon he will be into everything!!
