A Beaver, A Mountain Goat, and a Monkey!

This is the end of Sutton's crib.  He must be sleeping with a beaver.  Somebody has been eating his bed!

We took off the bumper pads today.  Several times, I have caught him hanging on the side of his crib.  I think he is part mountain goat.  He can climb anywhere.  I doubt that the removal of the bumper pads will slow him down much, but it's worth a try.

I don't think he liked this idea very much.
What?  You are taking my bumper pads?  But those are very beneficial to my climbing skills.  I'll just lay right here and keep them safe!

Perfect little hidey hole - beside his crib.

Little bit of reading time, in the reading chair!

Yellows

Sutton eating his "yellows."  They are really oranges (clementines).  He loves to eat them, but refuses to call them oranges.
He likes the color yellow better!

Redneck Swimming Pool

Have I mentioned that this summer has been HOT?

Well, this afternoon, Sutton took a dip in this pan of water,
aka a redneck swimming pool.

This is when the fun had to end.  Ryder came up for a refreshing little drink.  Can you see where this is headed?

Oh yes, Sutton thought that was a marvelous idea!
I had to put down the camera and run scoop him up.
He was going for a drink too!

What Do You See In His Future?

I see a future in baseball!

Only Ayden

Ayden came in the house wanting me to see his new pets.  Here they are.  Only Ayden...the crazy kid!

Fire Ants!  He said he fixed them a grasshopper buffet.  Yuck!

Trying To Get Comfortable

Sutton was trying to get comfortable for his nap.

Guess it worked!

Makes me want to sing...
Willaby Wallaby Woo,
An elephant sat on you,
Willaby Wallaby, Wutton,
An elephant sat on Sutton!

State 7 On 7

Blake is  # 63.

The sideline game - involving Ayden

So the guy from the other team catches the ball, but it was a cool picture.  I had to include it.

Blake is the only lineman that plays 7 on 7 for us.  He normally only plays defense on 7 on 7.  They let him play a few offensive plays and he got a catch!!!

Fourth Fun!

Well, this is actually the only picture that I got
from our Fourth Party.  :(
It got late and dark and the boys would not be still.  We had a great afternoon of food, friends, fireworks, and fun!

We had food, food, and more food - gumbo, hotdogs, banana pudding, homemade ice cream, watermelon, strawberries, pineapple, and puppy chow!
We were able to watch fireworks here in town.  Many towns cancelled their shows due to the extreme drought that we are experiencing.  Luckily, we still had fireworks and no fires.

The boys were quite disappointed that they were unable to have sparklers and small fireworks this year, but it was just not worth the risk.  Instead, I bought them red, white, and blue glow bracelets.  They had so much fun with these!
This is where I would like to insert some great pictures, but it just didn't happen.  Sometimes, I have to reluctantly step back with my camera and just let the kids make memories.
So, imagine this!  Cordell and Ayden connected the bracelets and tossed them into the air and spun them around for a great show.  We put a bracelet on each of Sutton's ankles and watched him run around in the dark.
It was a great time, and probably a new tradition!

Randomness

Mr. Cool!

At night, when I go to put on Sutton's pj's and get him ready for bed, he always runs to daddy.  He will snuggle up with him and wrap his arms around him.  It's a little game he likes to play to stay up just a bit longer.  Daddy loves it, so it usually works!  Turkey!

State Bound

The 7 on 7 team that Blake is playing on this summer has qualified for state!  College Station, here they come.....

They have had a busy summer so far, playing on Tuesday nights in Hico.  They played in tournaments on the weekends.  It has been a long, hard fought battle.  Two weeks ago, they won 3 games only to lose out to a tough Abilene Wylie team by 1 point.  Last weekend, they played in another tournament and once again were one game away from qualifying.  Finally this weekend, they QUALIFIED!

Good luck guys!

Rockin The Fork!

Sutton is working on mastering his fork skills.
And he got it!

 Yummy!

So now he has to ham it up just a bit!

And he says, "Yay, I did it!!"

Wii Little Boys

Cordell and Ayden were playing Wii this afternoon.  Sutton, of course, thinks he is as big as they are.  So he had to play too.  They gave him a remote without batteries.  He squatted, aimed, moved from side to side, and bounced around just like his brothers.  When they would cheer, he would jump around and cheer too!  Woo hoo!
