Six Months
My baby is 6 months old. It is hard to believe that half of a year has passed. I got to spend the day at home with him, even though it was a school day. Sadly, it was because he was sick. Poor, poor baby! He has the flu. You can see it in his little eyes. He does not feel real great. However, he is still my sweet, joyful little baby. Bless his little heart!
He likes to play with his feet now. I think it is so cute when they grab their little toes!
At 6 months, he weighs 18 pounds 4 ounces. He loves to jump in his jumper. His favorite toys are his teddy bear mobile and a Little Einsteins lights and music toy. He says momma, or at least I think he does. It sure sounds an awful lot like it. He loves, loves, loves to rock! He likes to rock so much that at daycare, they can not turn on his swing. He rocks and it swings and he flies pretty high in the air. He would be able to sit up by himself, but he rocks too much. So, he falls back. He is a sweet blessing! I have thoroughly enjoyed these first six months!

Hot!
Well, it is that time of year when we start to see some much warmer days. It's not officially hot yet, but the cars get pretty hot inside. Today, Ayden, Sutton, and I went to work at school for a while. When we got ready to leave, it was pretty hot in the car - about 82 degrees. Ayden immediately started whining that it was too hot in the back of the car. He was hollering for me to turn up the cold air. I told him that it was on and he just had to be patient. It would cool off as quickly as possible. He then told me that he just did not know how long he could wait. His eyeballs were already melting!
I don't know where he comes up with this stuff.
Luckily the car cooled off, and yes Ayden still has eyeballs!! Silly kid! You've just got to love him!

Run, Run, As Fast As You Can
Today was the Outlaw Run. Cordell ran/walked his first 5K. He begged and begged, so I finally gave in. I was just concerned that he would not be able to make it. He did, and he loved it! He can't wait to do it again. Blake ran the 5K and placed 2nd in his age division. Ayden ran the fun run and had a blast! I am very proud of them all!

More Baseball
Cordell...Ready for Action!
2nd Base
Pitching
Ayden is the action...
He is so quick all I caught in this one is the top of his hat!
Still on the move!
Finally, I get him still!
I love this shot! Typical t-ball look!
The ears tucked out of the cap are just priceless!
Ayden is very intent on getting this one out.
And the pitcher gets the ball and throws it to first base...
She is coming home and Ayden is determined. Someone in the stands said you would think he was playing in the world series. Well to Ayden, this is ever bit as important!
Well, he dropped the ball, but he picked it up and continued on. The other team's coach went to move a bat, but Ayden was not about to let that get in his way. Notice how he pushes himself on to the base, coach or no coach. Look at how both the little girl coming home and Ayden have their foot on base.
Was she out?
Who knows? It was a real close call!!

T-Ball Practice
Ayden had t-ball practice today. During practice, he was playing 1st base. After watching him halfway do his job, I walked over to tell him to get after it and get the ball and hurry to the base. He looked at me and said, "But mom, I don't want to get my own teammates out!" I love the innocence of a child. How can you argue with that?

Opening Day
Today was opening day for the CYC teams. Ayden is playing t-ball and Cordell is in the minor league this year. Add that to Blake playing high school ball, and there will be a few weeks that we will be watching 8 games. Yeah that is right, I said EIGHT! Not to mention the other time that will be spent practicing. We will be living at the ball park. They love it though, and so do I!
I love this picture! Look at the facial expression and the feet (both off the ground). You can see it bouncing out of him....Get the ball to me!!! Ayden is taking his job at first base very seriously!
