Easter Sunday
This is the best picture that I got Easter Sunday after church. The kids were not exactly in a cooperating mood, and Blake was already gone to another Easter. Oh well, I take what I can get sometimes.

Easter
The boys went again this year to the 3rd Annual McKeehan Easter Egg Hunt. The kids all listen to an Easter story. This year's story taught the significance of the Easter lily. Each child was given a lily bulb to take home and plant. Hope ours survive. My thumb is not very green.
This was Sutton's first egg hunt. He picked up the idea real quick. We showed him what to do with one egg, and he took it from there.
The bigger kids look for the eggs with their number on it.
After the hunt, everyone enjoyed cookies and juice.
Sutton sure enjoyed his!
Sutton had wild hair. It was a little bit windy. It was a perfect day though, not hot or cold. The candy wasn't melting.
Sutton was not taking any chances. When he had to move, he took it all! Where there is a will, there is a way!
And Sutton says that is enough. I am out of here!!

Baseball
Baseball...
Baseball ended tonight for the Comanche Indians. Blake played the last 3 games on varsity. He started out playing 3rd base on JV. When grades came in, a small jv team became too small to play. Blake was moved up to varsity, and due to some injuries became a starting right fielder on varsity. He did an excellent job!
This closes out his sophmore year of sports. He did an excellent job as the starting quick guard on varsity football, where he received an honorable mention all-district award. He played basketball as a starter on the JV team. He won 2nd place in district in the discus on JV. His season best distance was a throw of 114'. He played both JV and then varsity baseball. What a successful year! As the baseball season ended, he said, "now it's time to get ready for football!"

I Won't Survive!
Ayden got in trouble about supper time last night. It was one of those nights when supper consists of steak and shrimp cereal and milk! Yeah, I'm that mom. I told him to sit down and eat, because he would be going to bed immediately after he finished. Well, he was in one of those moods where nothing makes him happy. He started crying and fussing. He finally wound up getting a spanking and put to bed. As we sat there finishing our meal, I hear Ayden mumbling from his room, "I won't survive. I'm hungry and thirsty. I won't survive," over and over. Well that was last night, and believe it or not, he survived!

I Think I Can Be Good That Long
Church can be quite the challenge for me sometimes with all the boys. And when I say all the boys, I really mean Ayden. He just has a real hard time sitting still and quiet for that length of time. Sutton stays in the nursery. Blake and Cordell are fine, but Ayden, well Ayden gets real BUSY!! He does not have a whisper voice. The only volume he has is always on and loud!
Well today at church, during the offering, Ayden was "reading" the bulletin. He was asking me to show him what we had already done. Then he would mark it off with his pencil. He discovered that there were only 2 more items listed in the bulletin - sermon and closing song. He looked up at me with those little mischevious, twinkly eyes andblurted out whispered, "Momma, are there only 2 more things to go?" I told him yes. Then he said, "I think I can be good that long!" :)

A Game of Pool With Some Furry Friends
Ok, here are some pictures of 2 goofy boys and their favorite little furry friends! They are pictures that were not carefully planned. The boys need haircuts. There is a crazy sparkle in Ayden's eye. (I'm sure that is the mischief coming out!) His mouth looks like he has been eating some unknown cheesey snack. This is the norm. These are the pictures I get all the time. I decided to go with them just the way they are, no editing. So here it goes...2 boys and their buddies Pip and Squeaks playing pool.
I think Squeaks is telling Ayden the plan.
And he does not want him to tell that secret plan.
On the profile...
Taking the shot
Wonder who won this game?

Sutton - 15 months
At 15 months, you are...
loving, sweet, stubborn, and head strong.
You can climb like nobody’s business.
You give the sloppiest kisses, and we all fight over them.
You like to watch Barney in the car.
When you play peek a boo, you cover your ears.
You like to say, "Ayden," much to Cordell's dismay.
You have five little teeth now - 2 on the bottom & 3 up top.
You are such a blessing to us all!

Four Snow Days!
Well, we stayed home from school this week for FOUR days. Tuesday through Friday. It was just so icy and cold! I can not remember a time in my life that we have ever missed more than one or two days of school. This has just been crazy! It was a week full of sledding (on trashcan lids pulled by Blake), hot chocolate, snuggly winter clothes, wearing pj's all day, playing together, and a lot of family time. At times, it made us all a little bit crazy! However, it was also a great time spent together. I will admit though, we were so excited to get out again on Friday evening.

Ayden is Comfortable!!
Ayden is singing what I think is the song, "thank God I'm a country boy.". However, when I started to sing with him, he corrected me. "No Mom, it's Thank God I'm comfortable.". Go ahead sing it. It fits the tune. That kid makes me laugh!!
